Uniform review update and proposed adjustments to the primary school day

Dear parents and carers, I am writing to update you following our uniform review and the recent government announcements regarding times of the school day. Uniform review update: Firstly, thank you for your contribution to our recent uniform review. I am delighted that we have been able to immediately introduce the summer dress/playsuit and the children seem very happy with this as we enjoy slightly warmer weather. There will be no further changes to the uniform at this stage.  Our current uniform supplier has already stocked ready for September 2022.  Should any further changes be made in the future, there will be a period of transition and parents will be given plenty of notice.   We are really pleased that all our students wear their uniform with pride.  A reminder that all students must wear black leather-style shoes (not trainers). Please note that uniform can be purchased every Wednesday during term time from 3-4pm.  We have published on our website the dates during the summer holiday when uniform can also be purchased. Proposed adjustments to the primary school day: During the pandemic we altered the start time of the school day as we staggered arrivals in line with guidance. From September we propose moving the start of the day back to 8.40am with the gates open from 8.30am.  This additional time will directly impact on extending the time allocated for literacy and numeracy every morning.  As it stands, the school day will continue to finish at 3pm.  Read the full letter here
